Interesting tidbits
Kniphofia is a perennial genus of about sixty-eight species. It is native to southern and
eastern Africa, Madagascar, and Yemen.
In summer they carry showy spikes of drooping tubular flowers in brilliant coral red.
Flowers may also be pink, orange, or yellow.
Hummingbirds love their tube-shaped flowers.
